Ingredients for 10 servings

  • 100 g Spring onions
  • 1.1 kg White Tofu
  • 50 ml Soy sauce
  • 500 g Chopped canned tomatoes
  • 50 g Tomato puree
  • 250 ml Vegetable stock/Water
  • 10 g Ground cumin
  • 10 g Ground ginger
  • 25 g Cornstarch
  • Ground pepper
  • Salt

Technological process

  1. First, prepare the tofu. Cut it into cubes and sauté it in a pan with soy sauce for 5 minutes, until browned on all sides.
  2. Add chopped spring onions, cumin, ginger and let it fry for a while.
  3. Add the chopped tomatoes, stir and simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Finally, mix the puree and starch in water, add it to the tofu and cook for another 5 minutes until the sauce is reduced.
  5. Season with soy sauce and lemon juice.
  6. Serve with rice.
