Interest in plant-based meals is growing at universities – and we’re watching who’s leading the way. The rankings are simple and fair: we rank number of days per week when the dining room offers at least one vegan main course.

The Green Dining Hall Ranking provides an overview of how often university dining halls offer plant-based main courses. It is a useful tool for students and staff when making dining choices – and a motivation for the dining halls themselves to continuously improve.

1ST PLACE:

Vegan menu 5 times a week

These university cafeterias have become pioneers in offering plant-based meals. Every working day they serve at least one vegan main course – proof that a tasty and healthy plant-based diet can be a natural part of a college menu.

Third-place dining venues bring plant-based main courses 2 times a week. However, even a lower frequency shows a willingness to engage in change and enrich the university menu with tasty and healthy alternatives.
