Ingredients for 10 servings

  • 100g Onion
  • 500 g Carrots
  • 350 g Red lentils
  • 1.5 l Water/Vegetable stock
  • 1 kg Chopped canned tomatoes
  • 25 g Ground coriander
  • 10 g Ground ginger
  • 10 g Ground cumin
  • Salt
  • Ground pepper

Technological process

  1. Fry the chopped onion in a little oil.
  2. Add the carrots and spices. Sauté for a while.
  3. Add water or broth and chopped tomatoes.
  4. Cook for 15 minutes.
  5. Add the rinsed red lentils and cook for another 7 minutes.
  6. Season with salt, lemon juice and pepper.
  7. Serve with rice.
