Pea porridge is an integral part of Slovak cuisineIt is commonly served with various with cold cuts, fried onions and a slice of breadOur plant-based version is served with smoked tofu, which enhances the taste of this porridge and is also nutritionally rich in all amino acids, vitamins and minerals.
This recipe is very simple, so even if you're not the best cook, you can make this pea porridge with tofu in no time.

Serving: 300 g + 60 g tofu (already fried) = 360 g
Ingredients for 10 servings
- 1.2 kg Split peas
- 25 g Dried marjoram
- 100g Onion
- 50g Garlic
- 900 g Smoked tofu
- Ground pepper
- Salt
Technological process
- Cook the peas until soft and blend until smooth.
- Adjust the consistency with water or broth as needed.
- Fry the chopped onion with the crushed garlic and marjoram in a pan, and add everything to the porridge.
- Season the porridge with salt and add black pepper.
- Serve with fried onions and toasted tofu slices.
